Infrastructure plays a pivotal role in achieving climate neutrality and resilience. However, infrastructure is also vulnerable to certain risks, poor management of assets can lead increased dependency on fossil fuels lock climate-related risks. For this reason, an governance framework needed that direct public investments towards sustainability objectives. To end, the OECD has provided technical support Government Ireland strengthen environmental considerations decision making (i.e. strategic planning, project appraisal, budgeting).
